Tim & Jennifer Scarbrough
Tim is the son of a retired pastor and his wife from Clinton, Tennessee. He accepted Christ as his Savior as a teenager and answered the call to
preach the Gospel at 19 years old. Since that time, he has served in various roles including interim pastor, worship pastor, Bible teacher, singles ministry
pastor and currently, the founder of Living Water Ministries and pastor of Naco Baptist Church in Naco, Arizona. He and Jennifer met in their late twenties and were married July 30, 1994. They have a daughter, Erica, and son, Christian and a Siberian husky named Zeke.
Jennifer was saved as an adult at the age of 26. As God has brought people alongside to grow her faith she has had the privilege of serving in children’s, youth and women’s ministries as a Bible teacher and leader.
In the summer of 2006 our family visited the Sonora Mexico region on a mission trip. God made evident a transforming work that He had actually begun even before the mission trip to Mexico. While we were still in Mexico, we knew that God was calling us out of our comfort zone and into this area. It’s had been an amazing journey with many difficulties and heartbreaks, but also so much evidence of His power and work in our lives.
With the support of friends, family and several churches, we began to make plans and actually arrived in Arizona on January 2, 2007. Since that time we have settled in to a new area of the country; begun a food bank in Naco, Arizona; begun a mid-week Bible study; and on Easter celebrated with our first worship service at Naco Baptist Church. We have also partnered with a pastor in a small village in Mexico to support him as he seeks to reach the unreached in that area.
God has allowed us to be a part of a huge work in this area as many people are thirsting for something and we believe their thirst will only be quenched by the Word of God. John 4:10 says that Jesus said, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” Our mission is to serve the people in both Arizona and Mexico the “Living Water.”
In Christ,
Tim & Jennifer Scarbrough
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings… (Phil. 3:10)
